Mikel Arteta has hinted that Gabriel Jesus, who is out with a hamstring injury, may not be ready to return right after the international break.
The Brazilian has had a torrid time with injury, having undergone two knee surgeries within two weeks.
âI cannot guarantee that â we are trying to get that recovery as quick as possible,â he said.
âI said that it will be weeks, but very difficult to put a time frame still, right now.â
Arteta has described St Jamesâ Park as one of the âtoughest places to goâ as his Arsenal side prepare for a hostile battle at Newcastle on Saturday.

The Gunners go into the fixture having been defeated 3-1 by West Ham on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup and are looking to bounce back.
He said: â(Itâs) a big one. Itâs one of the toughest places to go and win but weâve done it. There is nothing new to it.
âYou want to play in those atmospheres, like going to Seville you know what you’re going to get. It’s an incredible privilege to play in those grounds, and you have to embrace the moment and enjoy it and go for it because it’s worth it.
âItâs an incredible football atmosphere.â
The loss to the Hammers still stings Arteta because of its manner.
âThere are things we have to do much better in the game, especially the way we conceded the goals,â he said.
âBut I donât think the scoreline reflects what happened in the game at all. But we should have done much better.â
On whether Tottenham, who lead at the top of the table by two points, are a title rival, he added: âWell, they are right now up there and theyâre merited to be where they are, so yes.â
