Manchester United completing a deal which sees Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo swap clubs this summer is a possibility, according to reports. Pogba and Ronaldo both see their respective club contracts expire in the summer of 2022. Both players are linked with moves away due to entering the final year of their deals.
Ronaldo has failed to lead Juventus to Champions League glory in his three years in Turin.
The Portugal superstar, who turned 36 in February, has been linked with a move to both Paris Saint-Germain and United.
However, Ronaldo’s Juve are one of the clubs interested in signing the much-maligned Pogba.
Both players crashed out of Euro 2020 at the round of 16 stage so their club futures are now high on the agenda.

And speaking on Reach PLC’s Transfer Window podcast, Ian McGarry claims the stars are aligning for a swap deal for the two players to take place.
McGarry said: “Manchester United are involved in a complex negotiation which could possibly see Paul Pogba leave Old Trafford and Cristiano Ronaldo return to Old Trafford, with Pogba going in the other direction to Juventus.
“Now, we see things like the stars aligning, and in this particular case it does feel like that may be the gravitation in terms of we have reported that Ronaldo wants to leave Serie A, we know that Pogba is unhappy and wants to leave Manchester United.”
Ronaldo had six years at United before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009.

Meanwhile, Pogba enjoyed the most successful spell of his club career at Juve between 2012 and 2016 before a move back to United.
McGarry claims there are no negotiations regarding a new deal for the 28-year-old at United.
He added: “One senior person at Manchester United whom I had a conversation with this week said ‘have you seen Paul Pogba at the Euros? He plays like a Dreamliner for France and then doesn’t even turn up every other Saturday for us’.
“Now, if that’s the feeling inside the Manchester United dressing room, then this would appear to be more of an ongoing concern than perhaps some people are giving it credit for.
“As we reported in March this year, an invitation to [Mino] Raiola to come into United and negotiate an extension on Pogba’s contract had been repeatedly revoked, and that still is the case.
“There are no current negotiations to extend Pogba’s contract at Manchester United.”
