Man Utd legend sends message to Jadon Sancho over Erik ten Hag feud

Manchester United legend Steve Bruce has urged Jadon Sancho to apologise to Erik ten Hag as it is the only way their feud can be ended.

Sancho is currently frozen out at Old Trafford after an unseemly spat with his manager played out in public.

Ten Hag criticised the winger for not performing in training, with the former Borussia Dortmund man accusing the Dutchman of lying in an explosive social media post as he claimed he was being made a scapegoat.

The 23-year-old has not been involved in the first team since and Ten Hag was tight-lipped on his future after the Red Devils beat Crystal Palace 3-0 in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, saying: ā€˜I donā€™t talk about players who are not available.ā€™

It was put to Ten Hag that Sancho has deleted his Instagram account, which could be a step in the right direction, to which the manager said: ā€˜I donā€™t know, itā€™s up to him.ā€™

Bruce, who played over 400 times for Manchester United, says that the only way forward is for Sancho to eat humble pie and apologise to his manager and teammates, then they can move forward from there.

ā€˜The only way this is going to be resolved is if he goes in to say to the manager that he apologises,ā€™ Bruce told Sky Sports. ā€˜And he apologises to his teammates.

ā€˜He canā€™t go on social media and start criticising the coach. At the end of the day heā€™s the boss and he makes the decisions so thereā€™s got to be a little bit of respect there.

ā€˜I would urge him to get in there, knock on the door and see if they can work things out.

ā€˜The kidā€™s a talented player, we havenā€™t really seen the best of him here, but we know heā€™s got really, really good ability. But he canā€™t have the issue now where thereā€™s rules for one and rules for another. Ten Hagā€™s been like that since heā€™s walked through the door, he will not put up with this ill-discipline.ā€™
