Maguire opens up on Sancho in England training and will excite Man Utd fans

Jadon Sancho is yet to set the Euros alight but has been tipped to star for Manchester United next season.

The 21-year-old Borussia Dortmund winger is yet to start for his country at the finals and has only played nine minutes for the Three Lions.

But England team-mate Harry Maguire believes the £73m man is ready to shine once he finally joins him at Old Trafford.

Since the start of the 2018/19 season no English player has been involved in more goals than Sancho across the top five major European leagues.

And Maguire said: “Jadon is a top, top player. He has exceptional talent even though he is still really young although he has played so many games.

“He has great experience in these big games. We've obviously got some exceptional talent in his position in this team.

“So he will bide his time and be patient and be ready when his opportunity comes.

"I've been really impressed with the way he has been working in training.

“He is really putting a shift in day in day out. He has some great talent.

Will Jadon Sancho be a success in his first season at Manchester United? Let us know in the comments section.

"He is scoring goals in the 5-a-sides and so on. He's a great lad.

“I don't know if it's confirmed or not but I think they are nearly there in terms of signing him at club level.

“f he does sign and when he does sign I'm sure he's going to have a great career for United and be a big part of us being successful in the future.”

With the two clubs agreeing a £73m fee this week, Sancho is expected to complete his big-money move after the Euros, pending a medical.

The winger is set to wear the No.7 shirt at Old Trafford.

And expectations will be high among fans for the ex-Manchester City youth.

Sancho could make his Premier League debut for United in their opener against rivals Leeds on Saturday, August 14.
