Reports in Italy this week have linked Liverpool with an audacious bid to sign Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic.
Liverpool may come unstuck in trying to negotiate with Chelsea, considering both sides are gunning for the title this season.
But Pulisic has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and he would provide some excellent cover for Liverpool if he was brought in.
The USA international lit up the Premier League a few years ago before injuries took their toll and he fits the mould for the kind of player Klopp loves.
Links with Ismaila Sarr to Liverpool refuse to go away after the Reds opted against making an approach in the summer.
But Calciomercato suggest the Reds could try with a bid in the New Year with Salah and Mane departing.
Sarr has impressed so far this season with five goals in all competitions and he also scored in Watford’s 4-1 thrashing of Manchester United at the weekend.
Renato Sanches looks almost certain to leave Lille in January with a host of clubs lining up to sign him.
Arsenal have been predominantly linked with the midfielder of late, although AC Milan appear to be leading the race.
But Liverpool have also been linked in the past and he would provide some excellent competition for places in midfield.
