Liverpool fans were left in hysterics after spotting loanee Marko Grujic’s cheeky moment in Tuesday night’s Champions League game between Porto and Juventus.
Porto knocked Juventus out of the Champions League on Tuesday night after producing a stunning upset at the Allianz Arena.
The Portuguese side travelled to Turin with a 2-1 lead from the first leg, and progressed to the quarter finals despite a spectacular comeback from the home side.
Sergio Oliveira scored an early penalty to give Porto a 3-1 lead on aggregate, while cancelling out Juve’s away goal.
Juventus turned the second leg on its head after half-time as Federico Chiesa scored twice to send the game to extra time.
But in extra time, Oliveira grabbed another with a long range free-kick to ensure Juve had to score twice in the final five minutes.
While Adrien Rabiot scored a header, Juventus were unable to grab another which would have sent them through to the quarter finals.
Juventus continued to chuck the ball forward in an attempt to get another goal, but were constantly halted by Porto.
Porto players continued to halt play, and Grujic was seen at one point trying to con the referee.
While Juve were trying to regain the ball, Grujic was subject to a heavy tackle and hit the floor immediately.
However, despite covering his eyes, he was seen checking to see if the referee was looking.
Television cameras picked up footage of the Liverpool loanee peeking while laughing before putting his head back in his hands.
Reds fans found Grujic’s actions hilarious, and took to social media to support the youngster.
One fan wrote: “The s***house we need at Anfield.”
Another joked: “Sort of s***house we’re missing currently.”
One supporter pointed out that if he had stayed at Liverpool, he would have been in with a shout of first-team football considering injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.
“The big lad Grujic could surely have done a job at centre-back this season,” the fan commented.
