Lionel Messi buys £8m Miami mansion outbidding Kick streamer Adin Ross
Lionel Messi wins record eighth Ballon d’Or after World Cup glory with Argentina
American streamer Adin Ross has claimed that he was outbid by Lionel Messi for a multi-million pound mansion in Miami. The Kick streamer made the admission in a clip that has since gone viral on social media, with the football icon becoming the owner of the luxury property instead.
Ross is one of the most popular streamers on Kick and is known for his controversial takes and video game livestreams. In his latest video the 23-year-old was seen discussing plans to buy a particular home in Miami. However, his efforts were in vain after revealing that a “professional athlete” had made a better offer.
“I got outbidded with the house I wanted,” he said. “I really wanted a house in Miami. So now I have to build my own house, ’cause it’s impossible to find a house that I like. And I got outbidded by a very, very famous professional athlete, who is very rich.
“I want to show you guys the real house, but I feel that it is leaking and I can’t. But I can maybe show you guys a picture. No, I am not even going to do it. Months in time maybe I might do it. But, truth be told, I got outbidded chat. It’s nothing about me being broke. I just couldn’t get to there in time. I saw the house, but they were already in talks and all that, so.”

Despite being reluctant to divuldge the new owner of the property, Ross went on to reveal that it was Messi who outbid him.
“The professional athlete is Messi,” he added in the same stream. “Messi’s parents, I think it was? I believe it was his grandparents, or I don’t know who the f*** it was.
“Messi, they wanted a crib for their grand-children or some s***, they were playing a game. I don’t even know, and they got it.”

Messi was revealed to have bought a mansion worth £8.72m in Florida back in September shortly following his move to Inter Miami. The waterfront property in Fort Lauderdale’s Bay Colony features eight bedrooms, a home gym/spa room and spans over 10,500-square-feet – according to The Real Deal.
The house is just a five-mile drive from Drive Pink Stadium and Inter Miami’s training facilities. It also comes complete with two docks and an Italian-style kitchen.
The cost of the property should come as little worry to Messi amid his lucrative Inter Miami contract. According to the MLS Players Association 2023 salary guide, the 36-year-old is on an annual base salary of just under £10m, with a guaranteed annual compensation of around £16m including bonuses.
Messi’s move to Inter Miami has proved to be a rousing success. His transfer came following his instrumental performance in Argentina’s World Cup win in Qatar.
Messi hit the ground running immediately following his transfer from Paris Saint Germain. The forward scored 11 goals and registered five assists in 14 games for the MLS team.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner also helped guide the team to its first trophy – the Leagues Cup. Inter Miami failed to reach the playoffs this season, giving Messi an extended break ahead of the next season which is due to start in January/February 2024.
