Brighton initially collapsed under the searing heat of the French south coast as Marseille raced into a two-goal lead at the Stade Velodrome. However, Pascal Gross gave the visitors hope in the second-half, with Joao Pedro's 88th minute penalty completing the comeback.
After the game Roberto De Zerbi said: "I'm really proud of the performance today, of the players. After the defeat 6-1 at Villa Park and the second goal to close the first half at 2-0, this reaction is incredible. For it I am very happy.
