Klopp warns Liverpool stars of most difficult game in world football

Jurgen Klopp has warned his Liverpool side to be ready for the toughest game in world football tomorrow.

The Reds take on Manchester City in another huge clash at the Etihad.

Kop boss Klopp reckons there is no bigger challenge than facing Pep Guardiola 's side away from home despite their stuttering start to the season.

He said: “It is not important whether we play home or away, it is important we compete, that we are there, that we have our own plan and not only think about their plan.

“That we are brave, we play football with all we have and then we have a chance.

“But it is very difficult.

“This is the most difficult game in the world of football I would say, to play against Manchester City.

“I enjoy these games and the preparation for these games.

"But it doesn’t make it any easier. It is just a tough task.”

Liverpool and City have dominated the Premier League for the last three seasons with Guardiola's men winning two titles and Liverpool one.

The clashes between the teams have become titanic battles and even now with City not finding top gear yet this season it feels like a huge clash in the title race.

Klopp said: “I really don't want to speak about us but it is obvious that it is not too easy to play against us but the challenge with City is always the way they play with the players they have.

“So that makes it really tricky.

“There are other teams that are really good. If we were now to face Bayern Munich they are in a pretty good moment for a while already I wouldn't say that is a Sunday afternoon walk in the park.

“That's a massive and tough game and there are other games as well.

“If you think about it, all the challenges in the game – what you have to be aware of and think about and what you have to do – it is City because they have a good plan, a clear plan and in each position a player who has the physicality and the technique to make a difference.”
