Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke has confirmed he expects Stephen O’Donnell to pull out of the Scotland squad for the Nations League double-header against Albania and Israel.
O’Donnell picked up a hamstring injury in training and was missing as Kilmarnock beat Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts 1-0 at Tynecastle on Saturday.
The Killie defender was originally named in Alex McLeish’s squad for this month’s away game against Albania on November 17 and the home clash with Israel on November 20.
Kilmarnock goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald, who was called up as a replacement for Sunderland stopper Jon McLaughlin, was on the bench at Hearts but will join up with the rest of the Scotland squad.
The former Hearts keeper has 10 Scotland Under-21 caps but has never been capped at senior level.

Clarke said: “Stephen (O’Donnell) is injured, he got a hamstring injury in training through the week and I would say 99.9 per cent out for Scotland.”
