Juventus are reportedly expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to make a decision on his future in the coming days following Portugal’s exit from Euro 2020.

The 36-year-old has one year left on his current deal with the Turin club and questions are being asked over what his next move will be if there is one.

Ronaldo failed to help secure a ninth-successive Scudetto with Juve and a disappointing Euros campaign with Portugal has left him to consider what he wants to do next.

Juventus are expecting a decision from Ronaldo over his future, Tuttosport reports

According to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, Ronaldo will tell Juventus his intentions this week, given he is in the final year of his deal, while PSG and Manchester United wait in the wings.

Ronaldo has been linked with the exit at the Allianz Stadium in recent months and remains as one of the most sought-after players, given he is still one of the best goalscorers on the planet.

United have been linked with bringing Ronaldo back to Old Trafford but Tuttosport are reporting that PSG are a more likely destination if he were to leave Juve this summer.

The 36-year-old is considering what to do next at club level after Portugal’s Euros exit

The Italian newspaper’s headline on Tuesday said: ‘Ronaldo: between Max [Allegri] and the Sheikh,’ referencing PSG owner Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

While he’s no longer in the competition, Ronaldo is the Euros highest scorer so far with five strikes and the veteran forward has shown he can still hold his own at the highest level.

His performances for Portugal earned him raving reviews from his former United team-mate Roy Keane, who described him as the ‘most intelligent player’ he’s ever seen.

Ahead of Portugal’s last-16 clash with Belgium at Euro 2020, Keane told ITV: ‘He’s the most intelligent player I have seen in my life. Obviously I’m not going back to 50s and 60s but the guy loves scoring goals.

‘His intelligence is amazing, how he plays the game, he doesn’t get involved in build-up player but he’s got that trickery and arrogance which you need from the great players.

‘The brain, the intelligence of the man, how he’s done it in different countries, how he’s looked after himself off the pitch as well.

‘I can’t praise the man enough, he’s an absolute genius, I love watching him. Just the brain he’s got, the cleverest player ever.’

Over his career, Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or trophies, and won numerous league titles and Champions League winner medals with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.

The Portuguese superstar has worked hard to keep himself at the top of the game, by working just as hard off the pitch as he does on it.

Now with his future up in the air, clubs across Europe will be clamouring to bring him to the club – if he decides to leave.
