Some savage Manchester United fans have told Jadon Sancho to improve or face being flogged this summer in a very stinging ultimatum.
The England winger was given a rare start by Erik ten Hag in United’s dramatic 3-1 victory over Fulham. For the majority of the contest, he endured a relatively quiet afternoon as Marco Silva’s razor-sharp defenders smothered him at every opportunity they could.
While there have been some promising moments for him at Old Trafford, he has struggled to really maintain a consistent run of good form ever since his £70million move from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021. And while he was struggling to have an effect on the game, many United fans were suggesting he is now in the last chance saloon.

"Sancho isn’t it anymore,” one very blunt United fan said on social media. "Love Jadon Sancho but we can’t protect him forever, must fix up,” another added.
"I love Sancho but he needs to fix up or be sold in the summer. Not good enough,” fumed another furious United supporter, who is clearly running out of patience.

"Someone said ‘Sancho plays like he doesn’t want to crease his Air Force 1s’,” another laughed on social media. Despite his struggles in the opening exchanges, Sancho did go on to have a role in the game-changing phase of play for the Red Devils.
A United counter-attack led to Antony freeing Sancho down the right hand side of Fulham’s back line. When confronted by an onrushing Bernd Leno, he nipped the ball past the former Arsenal goalkeeper, put Harrison Reed on his backside, before sending an effort goal-bound.
His shot did not find the back of the net, but it did find Willian’s hand on the goalline, sparking an astounding melee which saw Fulham boss Silva, Cottagers hitman Aleksandar Mitrovic, and the former Chelsea forward all get sent off by referee Chris Kavanagh.
After Bruno Fernandes emphatically slotted in an equaliser from the penalty spot, Marcel Sabitzer got across the near post to net his first United goal and the Red Devils’ second of the afternoon just minutes later.
With Fulham left with nine players on the pitch, Fernandes made use of the extra space given to him by latching onto a pass from Fred and blasting a third goal past Leno.
He may not have scored a goal or contributed an assist, but Sancho’s involvement was just as, if not more, important – maybe those United fans should reconsider their position?
