Italy star ‘booted out of squad after breaking team-mate’s nose’ and apologises

Italian under-21s star Marco Nasti has been booted out of a training session after he allegedly broke a team-mate's nose.

Nasti was dismissed from the team's training camp on Friday morning due to "disciplinary reasons", with manager Carmine Nunziata confirming the news. Nunziata didn't reveal why he left the squad, but Italian news outlet ANSA claims that the Bari striker punched Atalanta winger Matteo Ruggeri.

The report goes onto claim Ruggeri's nose was broken in the clash. And Nasti has since taken to social media to make a public apology.

Nasti is currently on loan at Serie B side Bari from Italian giants AC Milan. Milan said: "AC Milan announces the departure of Marco Nasti to SSC Bari on loan, with the latter having an option to make the transfer permanent and AC Milan having a buyback clause.

"The Club wishes Marco all the best for the coming season."

The Azzurrini are also playing some Euro qualifiers like the senior side – and they have a fixture against Norway under-21s on Tuesday.
