Ian Wright has hailed Bruno Fernandes for dragging Man Utd into a title race and claims the midfielder has had the "biggest impact of any player" ever signed by the Premier League's elite.
The Portuguese star has been instrumental in United's campaign thus far, contributing 11 goals and seven assists already.
His pivotal role in the team has helped lift United into second place, level on points with rivals Liverpool with a game in hand.
It's all the more remarkable when you consider Fernandes only joined United in January, and has already racked up 33 goal involvements in less than a year in the top flight, leaving Wright in awe of his talents.
"Bruno Fernandes may easily have the biggest impact I’ve seen of any player that’s signed for any team in the short space of time on a club of that size," he said on Wrighty’s House podcast.
"The reason why Manchester United are where they are, for me, is purely down to Bruno Fernandes and what he brings to that team.
"What I love about him, when you watch him you can see he’s already had a look and when the ball comes into him he flicks it off into space and someone is running into oceans of space.
"People are trying to get close to him, he might take a touch, bam and someone is away.

"Against Leeds it was a masterclass in his movement and touch. He dragged people all over the place, dragged Kalvin Phillips all over the place.
"It was a beautiful thing to watch."
Mohamed Salah enjoyed a similarly prolific spell in his first full season at Liverpool, notching 32 goals on his way to claiming the PFA Player of the Year award.
Fernandes is now an early contender for this season's PFA award, and Wright feels his influence on United has mirrored that of Salah's on Merseyside.
Who had the greater impact in their first year? Fernandes or Salah? Have your say below.
"He has had one the biggest impacts I’ve seen anyone have in the Premier League that’s not a striker," Wright continued.
"You look at Mo Salah, how he blasted. It’s normally strikers. He’s a midfielder, when you look at him he’s very slight, there’s hardly anything of him.
"He scored against Everton, it was a Shearer-like header. The timing and the way he headed that in the goal. He just finished, done."
