Guardiola begs quiet Man City fans ‘we need you’ after Liverpool silence Etihad
Pep Guardiola has issued a rallying cry to Manchester City fans and urged them to turn the Etihad into a fortress.
Guardiola has been frustrated at times down the years with the lack of atmosphere at City's home games. The Spaniard could be seen urging supporters to be louder during City's 1-1 draw with title rivals Liverpool last weekend.
City will host RB Leipzig in the Champions League group stages on Tuesday. And Guardiola has warned fans that his side have no chance of winning more trophies without having their vocal backing behind them.

"Semi finals, quarter finals, against Arsenal when we play for the Premier League (title), they were there and we need that. In my humble opinion, to have success, we need our fans.

"Together we are stronger, because they are part of our game and it is much better for ourselves to feel we are there. Tomorrow (Tueaday), hopefully they can come and enjoy the game here."
Guardiola, meanwhile, has been handed a huge boost after confirming Kevin De Bruyne will return to action in the New Year following a hamstring operation.
Guardiola added: "It will be January. I would have loved to have him all season, but he had a tough injury He has to recover well, prepare well and after one week he won't be perfect, but even off the bench. He will be a good weapon for us."
