Arsenal will be without as many as six first team players as they look to win back-to-back Premier League games for only the second time this season.
Mikel Arteta ’s side defeated Chelsea three days ago to end a seven-game winless run in the top flight and travel to Brighton and Hove Albion tonight.
The Seagulls won both meetings 2-1 last term, with the game at the Amex a heated affair.
And with his side just outside the relegation zone, Gunners boss Arteta knows Graham Potter's men will be a tough opponent.
“We mentioned earlier in the week that this is a really big week for us and we started the week in a really positive way,” Arteta said.
“It doesn't matter where they are at the moment, it will be a fight and we have to be ready for that.”
Making Arteta’s task harder will be the absence of a significant number of his squad.
Sokratis and Mesut Ozil are ineligible having not been registered for the Premier League, while Thomas Partey is not expected to be ready to return from injury.
Arsenal also struck by Covid-19 blow as club provide update on four players
The Gunners have been hit by Covid-19, with Gabriel testing positive, while Brazilian compatriots Willian and David Luiz may also be unavailable.
That means Arteta will have virtually the same squad as the one which defeated Chelsea.

Bernd Leno should keep his place in goal after saving Jorginho’s penalty, while Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney are expected to be continue after their excellent games at full-back.
The centre back pairing of Rob Holding and Pablo Mari also did well and should keep their places, especially with Gabriel and Luiz ruled out.
Despite impressing fans against Chelsea, Mohamed Elneny could make way for Dani Ceballos alongside Granit Xhaka in midfield.
Although he was an unused substitute on Boxing Day, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should replace Gabriel Martinelli, with Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Alex Lacazette expected to keep their places.
