Everton are reportedly set to battle Manchester United for the signature of Norwich defender Max Aarons this summer.
The Toffees are preparing for another summer of spending, and are believed to weighing up a move for highly-rated right-back Aarons.
The England U21 international impressed with Norwich in the Premier League last season, and opted to stay on with them this year, despite being relegated to the Championship.
But after another successful year at Carrow Road, Fabrizio Romano reports that Everton have identified him as a potential target for this summer’s transfer window.
However, United are also said to be keen on the 21-year-old, and have scouted him thoroughly.
While Champions League winners Bayern Munich have reportedly opened talks with Norwich to secure a deal.
The news comes amid claims that Ancelotti is set to be significantly backed financially in the upcoming summer transfer window, with owner Farhad Moshiri planning a huge spending spree.
That is according to Football Insider, who hint that there could be a number of new arrivals ahead of next season.
Majority shareholder Moshiri has underwritten massive losses in recent years in order to keep the club looking healthy, and has recently confirmed plans for a new stadium to be developed – which will cost a massive £500million.
Club chiefs apparently want to back that investment up off the pitch with a sizeable investment on it.
Ancelotti will apparently have the freedom to oversee a £100m squad overhaul in the upcoming window.
