Everton have three dream transfers 777 Partners can do as full takeover nears
Everton fans may soon get their wish of a new owner coming into the club with 777 Partners in ‘advanced talks’ to complete a full takeover with an announcement potentially being made this week. The Miami-based firm have been in negotiations with Farhad Moshiri’s representatives for nearly a year.
There were talks on both a minority and majority stakeholdings, but the Telegraph now claim that 777 Partners are set for a full takeover. Moshiri had been hoping to inject cash into the club through a huge investment this summer as he tried to sell a 25 per cent stake in the club.
MSP Sports Capital were on the verge of an agreement, but ended up walking away at the 11th hour due to financial concerns around the deal. That’s now opened the door for 777 to jump back in and it appears as though they’ve been given a free run at completing their takeover from Moshiri.
With talks seemingly advancing quickly, Everton fans will be hoping the new owners are in place in time for the January transfer window. 777 already have a strong standing in world football with both Vasco da Gama and Genoa improving under the American firm.
And they’re not short of money either as it’s reported that have around £4.8bn ($6bn) in assets under management. Everton fans have been crying out for better investment into the playing squad for the past few years now after some disastrous moves.
The Toffees were looking at a host of top targets this summer and raised plenty of cash in selling Moise Kean, Alex Iwobi, Demarai Gray, Thomas Cannon and Ellis Simms while are few high earners were also released. Now that Everton look set for a new ownership group to be in place in time for the January transfer window, attention will quickly turn to who they could target.

Goals are needed in Sean Dyche’s team and, while Beto was brought in to help in that department, Tammy Abraham was the top target this summer before his injury. The England star is set to make his return before the end of the year, potentially making him available in January as Roma were originally willing to listen to offers.
Wilfried Gnonto was also being strongly linked with a move to Goodison Park as the player handed in a transfer request try and force through a move to Merseyside. A deal never materialised but Gnonto will eye the January window as an opportunity to leave and Everton’s new riches would surely be able to get a deal done.
Dyche will want more defensive recruits as well and Harry Maguire may well see January as the time to leave Manchester United. The England international is far down on Erik ten Hag’s list when all his defenders are fit and Maguire will want to be playing to stay match fit for the 2024 European Championship.
All three players won’t come cheap, but Everton fans will no doubt be dreaming of better things to come if the takeover is completed.
