Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is unsurprisingly the subject of mass interest from Europe’s biggest clubs. Chelsea and Manchester City have been heavily linked with the Norwegian superstar, but data suggests he may be a better fit at Real Madrid.
The data in question has been sourced by B-Cure Laser, who produce low-level laser therapy pain relief devices for sporting injuries.
In June, B-Cure Laser ambassador John Barnes suggested that Haaland would be better suited to a Spanish club.
“I think Haaland would be better suited to one of the big clubs in Spain,” Barnes explained.
“It’s interesting because if you look at him as a player, he is a very physical player, and he bullies a lot of the players in Germany. In Spain, you can do that, but in the Premier League, you can’t.
“In the Premier League, a physical player is nothing because we have loads of physical players and not enough technical players.

“So if Haaland comes to England, he’s not going to go and bully Brighton’s centre-backs. For that reason, I think he would have a much bigger impact in La Liga.”
B-Cure Laser’s findings are intriguing and appear to back up Barnes’ statements on how Haaland would cope in England compared to Spain.
The Premier League is significantly more physical than the Bundesliga, for starters, their data says.
There is an average of 310 tackles and 500 attempted tackles per matchday in the English top-flight compared to 277 and 438 in Germany’s top division.

In fact, all four divisions in the English Football League have proven to be more physical than the top four European leagues, with League One at the summit.
B-Cure Laser’s data suggests La Liga would suit Dortmund and Haaland’s style of play the most.
It’s an interesting discovery, given Real Madrid are one of the clubs most favoured to capture the 20-year-old’s services.
The data isn’t all bad for Chelsea fans, though, with Stamford Bridge found to be his most compatible destination in the Premier League.
Whilst the Blues have been heavily tipped to sign Haaland this summer, the fee required would be astronomical.
Those interested in his signature may be waiting until next summer where he’ll be available for just £65million due to a release clause in his Dortmund contract.
Signing him for that fee would be one of the biggest coups ever seen given he is a striker set to become one of the best in football history.
