Enrique happy for players to have sex before match but orgies ‘are not ideal’
Spain boss Luis Enrique has revealed that he is happy for his players to have sex before a match – as long as they are not taking part in orgies.
The former Barcelona boss has been overseeing a dramatic change in the Spanish side where he has brought in some exciting young players. Pedri and Gavi lit up the show on their World Cup debuts against Costa Rica on Wednesday.
They helped La Roja mount an incredible 7-0 thrashing over the Central American side, who looked haplessly out of depth in truth. Nevertheless, in a tournament that already appears to be plagued by a lack of goals, Spain put them to the sword to make people take notice.

And their manager has decided to do things a little differently, too, speaking on popular live-streaming service Twitch to better connect to fans. Speaking on the website, it has not taken him long to kick up a fuss unfiltered.
When discussing whether his players were allowed to have sex before a match, Enrique said: "It's something I consider totally normal. I mean if you're at an orgy the night before a match it's not ideal. But hey."
It comes about amid a myth that has spread that indicates that having sex before a big game can affect an athlete's performance. However, that has been dispelled by researchers.
Nevertheless, whether Enrique would be keen to enforce this rule might differ from player to player – considering one of them is currently dating his daughter.
Ferran Torres got on the scoresheet twice against Costa Rica and his manager will be hoping it was not a hat-trick that night with Sira Martinez. The Barcelona forward dedicated his brace to his 22-year-old beau, who watched on from the stands at the Al Thumama Stadium.
Spain face Germany next in a mammoth clash for Hansi Flick's men after their shock loss to Japan. If they taste defeat again, it would likely see them exit the competition in the group stage for the second time in a row.
