With Mother's Day on Sunday, many sons are sure to be finalising their preparations to be able to thoroughly treat their treasured person this weekend.
Leicester defender Ben Chilwell, however, doesn't appear to have got into that spirit just yet as he cruelly pranked his mother with a raw egg.
Under the guise of attempting to create a new challenge to keep footballers entertained during the coronavirus outbreak, the England international wanted to see how many ping pong balls mum Sally could head into a bin in five seconds.
With the 23-year-old throwing the balls, his mother headed the first four without incident even if she was unable to divert any into the bin.
It was the fifth and final ball where Chilwell's plan cam to fruition as rather than throw a ball pong ball, he instead lobbed up an egg at a poor, unsuspecting Sally.
As she went to head it, the egg cracked and the yolk went all over her hair, as well as on the carpet, much to the Leicester man's amusement.
It certainly went down well with some online, with ex-Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas and England women's international Leah Williamson replying to the Instagram post with laughing emojis.
Others, though, did not seem to find the clip as funny, with one commenting: "Why you doing that to your mum?"
Another replied: "Your poor mum especially in Mother's Day weekend."
A third posted: "That is harsh man."
Chilwell had earlier posted his own attempt at the Stay At Home challenge as footballers bid to cure their boredom with games around the world suspended owing to the outbreak of Covid-19.
