Mason Mount’s reported growing frustration at Chelsea is a worrying sign for Thomas Tuchel’s side. The Blues breezed to a 3-0 win over Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, but the latest news is nothing short of a blow.
The Daily Star say Mount doesn’t feel as appreciated as some of the other big-name players at Stamford Bridge.
Mount was a key player for Tuchel during his first six months at the helm, but things have somewhat changed this season.
The same report quotes a source which discusses the England stars growing frustrations in west London.
“Mason is a top lad and thought of well within Chelsea, and is popular with the team. But he isn’t feeling appreciated anymore,” the source told the Star.

“He’s been at Chelsea since he was a tiny lad, but despite coming up through the academy, he doesn’t feel like he gets the same treatment or recognition as players bought in for big money.”
If Tuchel doesn’t act fast and treat Mount in the manner he thinks he deserves, then the German boss risks losing him for good.
Mount still has three years remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and parting ways would would have been the last thing any Chelsea fan would have thought of last season.
The 22-year-old started in the win over Leicester but was taken off at just 62 minutes for Hakim Ziyech.

In the game against Burnley before the international break, Mount was forced to look on from the sidelines as the likes of Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi were chosen ahead of him.
But potentially losing Mount is just one of several transfer worries Tuchel has heading into next summer.
The expiring contract saga in defence is still ongoing. As it stands, Tuchel is set to lose no fewer than four defenders in Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen.
All four defenders’ contracts are up at the end of June meaning they will be able to negotiate freely with other clubs from January onwards.
Losing Rudiger, would, of course be the biggest blow. The German defender has become one of the best central defenders in the league under Tuchel.
But keeping hold of him could prove difficult with the likes of Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich and Juventus all said to be interested in the 28-year-old.
While things are all seemingly plain sailing on the pitch right now for Tuchel’s Chelsea, there is plenty of uncertainty off it.
And that uncertainty will need to be addressed before it is too late.
