After purchasing Fiyako Tomori and Olivier Giroud this summer, AC Milan are looking to sign their third Chelsea player this summer – Hakim Ziyech. The Moroccan arrived from Ajax last summer for £38million but has failed to make the impact some were expecting from him.

He scored two goals and provided three assists in 23 assists but did score the winning goal against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Calciomercato is reporting that AC Milan are looking to sign Ziyech on loan this season with an option to buy.

The Italians are also said to be interested in Isco and Philippe Coutinho, however, Ziyech could be more of a financially viable option.

Milan are confident they can get a deal done, after Tomori’s loan last season and subsequent permanent transfer, as well as their successful negotiations with Chelsea in Giroud’s deal this summer.

The 28-year-old made just eight league starts under Thomas Tuchel since the former Borussia Dortmund man took over in January.

His only league goal under Tuchel also came against City, in 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.

And Ziyech has been full of praise for his manager in the past, stating that the German has been a breath of fresh air in west London.

“I’ve never had a coach who has been like this,” said Ziyech. “The coaches most of the time were more quiet!

“But this is his style of managing – and we have no problems with it. It’s good for the players, it keeps them sharp. That’s the most important thing.

“Most of the time when we are playing, he’s also really in it with us. Emotionally wise, sometimes it’s good – but sometimes you are also like ‘ooh, calm down’ – but it’s good for everybody.

“He has come in with new ideas, new plans. He is always coming over to the group in training, it’s really good.

“Everybody understands, and everybody knows what his job is, and it works.

“He loves to laugh, but always wants us to work hard. Then we can have fun, but when there has to be work then it has to be serious. Sometimes he likes to joke, but sometimes he’s serious.”

Chelsea’s pursuit of a new attacker could mean that Ziyech is sold, with the Blues looking to raise funds to sign Erling Haaland.

As well as Ziyech, Tammy Abraham, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Kurt Zouma are all reportedly up for sale.

Eden Hazard is another player who has been linked with the club, with a return to Stamford Bridge potentially on the cards.

If the Belgian was to join the club from Real Madrid, it would probably bump Ziyech right down the pecking order and a loan move would likely benefit all parties.
