As if Chelsea fans haven't done enough buying in recent times, certain fans are upset at one missed opportunity in particular.
And RB Leipzig frontman Lois Openda is the man leaving Blues feeling green with envy after watching the Belgian put two past Manchester City on Tuesday. The Germans travelled to the Etihad as steep underdogs in the Champions League but went in with a 2-0 half-time lead thanks to Openda's heroics.
The 23-year-old made light work of Manuel Akanji to open the scoring after just 13 minutes. He then doubled his tally for the evening after leaving Ruben Dias in his dust to burn down the wing before dispatching with aplomb.

And certain Chelsea fans couldn't wrap their head around how the signing was missed after the forward scored 21 goals in 38 Ligue 1 appearances for a very impressive Lens side last season. However, Leipzig are the ones reaping what they sowed after proving their transfer mastery once more.
"Why didn’t we sign Openda," asked one Blues supporter in disbelief. "He only cost Leipzig €38million. . ."
Openda's actual fee is understood to have been in the region of €43m, not that it detracts from the fact he's looking well worth the price. The player has 13 goals in his first 19 games for the Bundesliga outfit and doesn't look likely to stop anytime soon.
Pep Guardiola's side did hit back in the second half against Leipzig as Erling Haaland and Phil Foden levelled the scoreline. However, that doesn't take away from Openda's standout efforts in the opening period.
"Tell me again why Chelsea didn't sign this Openda fella when we had the chance," pondered another confused critic. Others took aim at Chelsea summer signing Nicolas Jackson, who has failed to really hit his stride thus far in west London.
The former Villarreal forward was a cost-effective purchase at £30m, and while he scored just twice in his first nine Premier League outings, he's improved of late to net four in his last three. That didn't cull the fan frustration, however, as a third disgruntled customer commented: "Watching Openda and getting p****d off about Jackson."
"Openda was available but we went ahead to sign Jackson," chimed another. It's somewhat ironic that Openda was brought in by Leipzig to help account for the loss of Christopher Nkunku, who joined Chelsea for £52m but is yet to make his debut due to a serious knee injury in pre-season.
