Champions League last 16 draw details as Arsenal and Man City both involved
Arsenal train ahead of Champions League trip to PSV
The group stages of this season’s Champions League are nearly over, with Arsenal and Manchester City among the clubs to have already booked their place in the knockout rounds. Only the cream of the crop will be involved in the last 16 and a number of interesting ties could be thrown up when the draw is made later this month.
Arsenal will be one of the teams in the hat after breezing through the group stages on their long-awaited return to the Champions League. The Gunners have won four of their five matches so far and are guaranteed to finish as Group A winners, regardless of what happens in their final group match against PSV tonight.
City will also be involved in the knockout phase, with the defending champions having taken maximum points from their five games in Group G. Meanwhile, the likes of Newcastle and Manchester United can still progress to the last 16 if results go their way in the final round of group fixtures.

Who can Arsenal and Man City face?
The group winners will be seeded for the draw and will be pitted against the group runners-up, who are unseeded. As well as clubs being unable to face another from the same national association, they cannot be drawn against teams that progressed from the same group.
Arsenal and City have already won their respective groups, while PSV and RB Leipzig are the only teams to have qualified in second place with plenty left to be decided in the final round of group stage fixtures.
When will the matches take place?
The Champions League round of 16 will take place over the course of four weeks, with the opening matches set to be played on February 13 and 14. The next group of first-leg ties will be a week later on February 20 and 21.
The second legs will begin on March 5 and 6, with the final games set to be played the following week on March 12 and 13.
