Arsenal squad ‘worth £200m more than Man Utd and Liverpool’
Arsenal need to improve their team in January | Football Digest
Arsenal have become one of the best teams in the Premier League under Spanish manager Mikel Arteta and appear to be in another title race this season after missing out on lifting their first top-flight trophy for two decades last time around. And the Gunners’ squad is now worth £200million more than the squads of Manchester United and Liverpool, while also ranking above Real Madrid’s.
According to Transfermarkt, Manchester City have the most valuable squad in world football as it is valued at £1.1billion. But Arsenal are ranked a close second as their squad is said to be worth around a staggering £960million.
Paris Saint-Germain have a squad value of £940m, while Real Madrid’s entire team is worth £900m. Chelsea players are rated at a total of £870m, with Bayern Munich stars appraised at £828m. Meanwhile, United and Liverpool both have a whole team value of £766m.
Arteta has signed a host of top players during his time at the Emirates Stadium, with the club splashing the cash on the likes of Declan Rice, Gabriel Jesus and Ben White in recent seasons.

But it is their academy product Bukayo Saka who would bag them the most money if he were to be sold as he is currently said to be worth £105m on his own. Rice is the Gunners’ second most valuable player at £87.5m, with Martin Odegaard valued at nearly £79m. But Arteta will not want his employers to cash in on their prized assets any time soon.
The Gunners have climbed to third in the Premier League table following their 3-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday. Arteta’s team have lost just one top-flight match this season and are only one point behind leaders Manchester City in the table.

Arsenal will be looking to rack up plenty of points after the international break as they face Brentford, Wolves and Luton in their next three matches.
And after their showdown with Burnley, Arteta said: “The level and the consistency the team is showing, how we are playing, how the team is competing, we are always there. The team is showing real maturity as well as a lot of hunger to be there and show a bit of bite and teeth in the right moments.
“We’ve played a lot of games, a lot of minutes and this was going to be something very different to the last two games, and the team was really mature.”
