Arsenal and Manchester United are eyeing up a move for Ousmane Dembele amid doubts over the player’s future at Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
Dembele, 23, has struggled for fitness and form at Barca in recent years and now finds himself out of favour under new boss Ronald Koeman.
The France international has only started three La Liga games this season, with Koeman replacing him at half-time in one of those starts away at Alaves.
As a result, his future at the Nou Camp appears in serious doubt heading into the final year-and-a-half of his current Barca contract.
Spanish outlet Sport claim Dembele has offers on the table to leave permanently in January, which the Catalans could be forced to accept amid his reluctance to sign an extension.
It is believed the youngster has no intention of penning a new contract anytime soon, meaning Barca chiefs could lose their £117million recruit for nothing in 2022 if they fail to offload him in January or next summer.
Among others, Premier League duo Arsenal and United are said to be interested – although it remains to be seen whether they have the money to pull off the deal in January.
If they do have the finances to bid for Dembele, Barca will have a big decision to make given they have recently lost Ansu Fati to injury for the next four months.
Koeman will need Dembele more than ever amid Fati’s absence, despite not showing much confidence in the player early into his reign as Barca boss.
United were linked with a move for him over the summer as an alternative option to No.1 transfer target Jadon Sancho.

However, after missing out on the £108million-rated Borussia Dortmund star, Old Trafford chiefs instead turned their attention to a £36million deal for Atalanta’s Amad Diallo.
Diallo, 18, will join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in January as part of the agreement.
