New Zealand confirmed their place in the World Cup quarter-finals by running in 11 tries to overwhelm Uruguay and scored a stunning try in the process.
The South Americans needed an 80-point victory to keep their World Cup hopes alive, and while that was never going to happen, they did repel their opponents for 19 minutes and would have taken the lead had the TMO not ruled out Manuel Ardao’s try.
Damian McKenzie bundled over for the All Blacks’ first score and that was soon added to by Richie Mo’unga, Will Jordan and Cam Roigard — securing them a bonus point before half-time.
The moment of the match was, without a doubt, Jordan’s try in the 32nd minute of the match which was orchestrated by some great play by McKenzie.
The full-back collected the ball, punted it forward and chased it down before offloading it to Jordan, who made no mistake in securing the points.

Damian McKenzie (middle bottom) was in fantastic form for the All Blacks on the night
McKenzie showed blistering pace and a calm head in order to create the opportunity for his team-mate to score.
New Zealand showed deadly form in a 96-17 dismantling of Italy last week and were clinical again here, as Leicester Fainga’anuku scored a second-half hat-trick.
They will finish second in Group A unless Italy pull off a surprise win over France this evening.
