DAYTONA BEACH — It's never a bad time for some Chinese takeout.
Chase Briscoe, driver of the Stewart-Haas No. 14, made the quick trip across the street during the Daytona 500 delay to get some Panda Express.
His wife, Marissa, tweeted a picture of him going through the drive-through, in his firesuit, ordering lunch.
Briscoe was running 14th in the Daytona 500 when the race was delayed by weather at 3:45 p.m.
It was his first Daytona 500, and it's Briscoe's first full-time Cup season. He's replacing Clint Bowyer in the No. 14 Ford. Bowyer is now in the Fox broadcast booth.
Briscoe wasn't the only driver to make a pit stop at a local fast food restaurant.
Ross Chastain rolled through McDonald's to pick up meals for his entire team. In a video posted on Twitter by Chip Ganassi Racing, Chastain tells the McDonald's employee he races No. 42, the McDonald's car. He orders six of everything and grabs a hot fudge sundae for himself.

Chastain was positioned just in front of Briscoe, in 13th place, through 15 laps. In his first Cup season racing full-time, Chastain would go on to finish seventh after a major crash during the last lap set off by Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano.
