F1 fans in hysterics as Mazepin spins again to red flag Emilia Romagna practice

Nikita Mazepin has been on more spins than a washing machine since the start of his F1 career – and the Haas driver was at it again during the first free practice session at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

Mazepin, who came under fire before the F1 season began after a video emerged of the Russian touching a women inappropriately, has suffered a nightmare start to his career on the grid.

The 22-year-old spun in qualifying on his race weekend debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix before crashing out of the race itself on the very first lap.

And things are going from bad to worse for the Haas pilot after a disastrous Friday morning at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in San Marino.

Mazepin spun not once, but twice during the first free practice session in San Marino, with the latter of his two excursions leading to the session being red flagged.

F1 fans on social media have still not forgven Mazepin for his abhorrent behaviour off the track and took plenty of delight in the star's latest tribulations.

One joked: "It's not an F1 weekend without a spin from Mazepin".

While another added: "Another day on track, another crash for Mazepin. Really is a waste of a seat. #ImolaGP #SkyF1".

A third person commented: "They really are gonna have to spend more on fixing the car than they got from mazepin's daddy lol".

Others used memes to describe Mazepin's performance, with one F1 fan drawing a comparison between his weekend in Bahrain and his first session in San Marino.

However, some Twitter users expressed concern at the frequency of Mazepin's spins and suggested that he could cause a serious accident.

Matt Gallagher wrote: "Mazepin jokes aside, I am actually pretty concerned that at some point he’s gonna be involved in a really dangerous crash, potentially involving other drivers.

"The guy literally can’t control the car, he’s a danger to himself and others at the moment imo."
