Christian Horner gives middle finger to Ted Kravitz live on TV as Sky apologise

Christian Horner was caught giving a middle finger to Sky Sports reporter Ted Kravitz during a banter-filled back-and-forth.

The Red Bull principal was in thick of it on Friday (November 17) after the first session of the Las Vegas Grand Prix was cancelled due to damage being occurred on the cars of Carlos Sainz and Esteban Ocon thanks to a loose manhole cover.

Further chaos unfolded as the second session was delayed by almost three hours. And, while Kravitz was having a stroll while the cars were on the track, he enjoyed some lively banter with Horner who turned 50 on Thursday (November 16).

The reporter referenced the Brit's birthday before taking aim at Horner's glasses by saying: ""I think he's wearing his natty new glasses on the pit wall… and who can blame him?". Kravitz didn't stop there as he joked: "Who, approaching 50 years old, would wear their glasses in the pit lane, wanting to pretend that the actually don't need them? Who would do that?"

Forever the light-hearted individual, Kravitz, 49, was poking fun at himself as he was also sporting glasses. His Sky colleague Karun Chandhok told him that Horner – who wasn't wearing his specs at the time – had taken notice of the banter and turned around before levelling a middle finger to Kravitz who could only smile.

The gesture – which was caught on live TV – forced commentator David Croft to apologise to viewers as he said: "And apologies if you were offended by the hand signals that were going on from the Red Bull pit wall."

Kravitz had a hilarious response to being subject to Horner's middle finger as he said: "Oh, he's giving me a happy little greeting there. Honestly, every time I keep putting a compliment Christian's way, he doesn't like it. He's 50 and I'm approaching 50 and we both need the glasses now. And the glasses are on."
