WATCH: Senators goalie Mike Condon gives up 145-foot goal against Coyotes

Ottawa Senators goalie Mike Condon couldn’t have asked for a worse night Tuesday.

After he had already allowed two goals in the first period to the Phoenix Coyotes, Condon gave up a third goal in the opening frame to Coyotes forward Derek Stepan.

But this wasn’t an ordinary goal. With the Senators on the power play, Stepan cleared the puck from his own blue line by shooting it toward Condon. After traveling more than 145 feet, the puck trickled through Condon’s legs and went into the net.

The goal was Stepan’s second of the season and it ended Condon’s night as he was pulled for Craig Anderson.

Condon finished his second start of the season with eight saves on 11 shots and a .727 save percentage. His first start of the season was on Oct. 8 against the Boston Bruins. He gave up five goals and had a .828 save percentage as the Senators fell to the Bruins 6-3.
