We are seven weeks into the NFL season, thus far, ESPN’s revamped Monday Night Football broadcast has been an absolute bust. Between Jason Witten’s obvious struggles and Booger McFarland’s separation from the booth, very little seems to be working with that broadcast.
And, somehow, it still managed to get worse on Monday.
To promote ESPN’s partnership with Old Spice, the Monday Night Football broadcast of Falcons-Giants hit viewers with a live, in-game ad for the “Foam Zone.” The result was possibly the most awkward 30 seconds of sports broadcasting we’ll see all year. It was brutal.
