Bizarre footage shows children mounting and riding sheep during halftime of the Denver Broncos’ home game against the Cleveland Browns, as rodeo season nears in America.
The Broncos allowed kids to show off their mutton busting skills while the team was up 14-6 at the break on Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High.
‘LET’S RIDE!’ the NFL captioned its tweet of the footage, using Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson’s famous catchphrase.
‘The most Denver halftime experience you can possibly imagine.’
The first child in the video barely held onto his sheep for five seconds, landing on the gridiron after slipping off from the animal’s side, while wearing a helmet.

The next candidate for best mutton busting skills at the game had a similar outcome, although the child landed dangerously in the sheep’s path, as it stamped on him. To everyone’s relief, the youngster immediately got back onto his feet and seemed fine, without suffering any injuries.
The third and final child shown in the footage was the star of the halftime break, as he held unto his mutton until it reached the end zone. His ride started around the 30-yard line.
‘That last kid was never, EVER letting go,’ said a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, on the youngster’s performance.

‘The kid is having a good time,’ said another, while a different person described the child who held onto his sheep all the way until the end as a ‘real rider.’
The National Western Stock Show & Rodeo will be held from January 6-21 next year as it will celebrate Denver’s rich cowtown roots.
The venue is also a cherished Colorado tradition since 1906.
The biggest rodeo in the US and Canada is Cheyenne Frontier Day, known to rodeo fans at the ‘Daddy of ’em All.’
