Tom Brady told to retire after ‘old man’ display as Patriots suffer Texans loss

The New England Patriots suffered only their second defeat of the NFL season on Sunday, losing 28-22 to the Houston Texans.

Despite looking on course to make the playoffs once again, Patriots fans are calling for the head of quarterback Tom Brady.

The six-time Super Bowl champion threw three touchdowns at a completion rate of just over 50 per cent.

The Pats offence managed to step things up in the final quarter as they looked to claw their way back into the match.

But they suffered a point-less second quarter, as Brady threw a career-low number of completed passes in the first half.

The 42-year-old’s misplaced pass to N’Keal Harry also led to the Texans’ second touchdown in the second quarter.

And many Pats fans, well as general football fans, laid into the veteran QB during and after match, calling on him to retire on Twitter.

“Brady sucks. It’s just time for the old man to retire,” one wrote.

As a fourth put: “Tom Brady you’ve been canceled old man. Turn in your papers and go retire in Nantucket. Your old ass can’t even complete a routine out.”
