Russell Westbrook has suffered another setback.
The Thunder star will not play Wednesday against the Cavaliers after injuring his ankle in Monday’s win over the Pelicans, ESPN reported.
According to the report, X-rays came back negative and further evaluation “confirmed an ankle sprain and nothing more.”
Westbrook left Monday’s game in the third quarter with the injury after landing awkwardly on Anthony Davis’ foot. He limped off the court and was unable to put any weight on his left leg.
Westbrook will still travel to Cleveland with the Thunder, as the team wants to see how he responds to treatment before determining a timeline for his return.
