NFL fans say Aaron Rodgers is better than Tom Brady after watching combine clip

Aaron Rodgers is firmly established as one of the best NFL quarterbacks of the last 20 years.

But the Green Bay Packers hero already looked the part during his combine performance in 2005.

The superstar is caught on camera doing his 40-yard dash, which he completes in an impressive 4.71 seconds.

He was eventually selected 24th in the Draft – although had hoped to be snapped up earlier.

NFL fans lapped up the footage, but comparisons inevitably started between Rodgers and New England Patriots legend Tom Brady.

Rodgers is five years younger than his rival, who was drafted in 2000 and infamously as the 199th pick.

“Best quarterback in terms of raw talent and accuracy,” said one observer. “Brady without Bill Belichick is nothing. I’ll take Rodgers all day over Brady.”

“Better passer than Brady and Peyton Manning. Brady and Manning run like turtles,” added a second.

“In this video they were gonna put Tom Brady’s 40 yd dash, but the vid had to be under 10 minutes long,” said a third.

“Damn Rodgers can run,” added a fourth. “Rodgers has got some wheels,” said one more.

Speaking last year, Rodgers said he thinks Brady is the better quarterback.

When quizzed who is top dog, the Packers player simply replied: "He's got five championships.”

In another interview, Rodgers hailed Brady’s longevity.

The Patriots ace is still going strong at 42 years old.

“He’s more athletic in and out of the pocket now,” Rodgers said.

“He’s running more, he’s moving out of the pocket.

"He’s getting out and extending plays, which he really didn’t do early in his career.

“It’s a testament to his work ethic and how he takes care of himself.”
