LeBron James can’t believe insane Luka Doncic buzzer beater

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has continued to build his myth with an incredible buzzer beating three-pointer to down the Memphis Grizzlies 114-113.

Doncic scored 25 of his 29 points in the second half and finished with nine assists to help Dallas end a two-game losing streak while. Kristaps Porzingis chipped in 21 points for the Mavericks.

But the 22-year-old Slovenian pulled off the incredible finish with one of the more incredible finishes you’ll see.

Having called a time-out with 1.8 seconds left, there was no one else the ball could have gone to but Doncic and he tiptoed a fine line to pull off the phenomenal winner.

Having got the ball just outside the arc, Doncic beat a double team while tripping, leaping into the air to throw up the speculative floater.

But it hit nothing but net and sent his teammates and the commentators into hysterics.

“He got it, he got it, he got it, is it two or three? We’ve got to wait to see,” the commentator screamed.

It was quickly shown he leapt from outside the arc, only just beating the buzzer by getting the shot up, handing his Mavericks the win rather than the game going to overtime.

“Honestly, I don’t remember,” Doncic said when asked about the shot. “I was kind of falling down. It’s kind of lucky, but we’ll take it.”

Doncic scored the Mavericks’ final six points of the contest with a layup, free throw and then capping his incredible performance with a falling three pointer.

The NBA was quick to react, with LeBron James duly impressed, quickly taking to Twitter to share his disbelief.

I still have no idea how Luka Doncic made that. What a shot to end a great game. You make that man split a double team and hit a prayer? Hope everyone watching ESPN enjoyed that.

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle was blown away by the moment and his young superstar.

“It certainly was quite a game,” Carlisle said. “A lot of ups and downs. The last play was amazing. You look at the last minute or so. In those situations, you pull off a miracle in a game like that once in a blue moon. It just doesn’t happen very often.”

On the other side of the coin, the Grizzlies were obviously down after letting the game slip.

“It came down to one great shot at the end by him,” Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said of Doncic.

“He’s a really hard cover and that why he’s an MVP candidate. He turned it on in the second half and I give him a lot of credit.”

Seventh place Dallas gave themselves a bit of a buffer with the victory, extending their lead in the standings to 2.5 games over the eighth-place Grizzlies, who are now locked in a battle with the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs.
