CLASSY colt Kementari has run well without winning this campaign but CHRIS VERNUCCIO is tipping the four-year-old to run over the top of his rivals in a high-pressure Group 1 Manikato Stakes.

KEMENTARI drops back to 1200m after a five-week freshen up. These Group 1 sprints at The Valley tend to be high pressure and that could be the key to him finally breaking through this campaign. SUNLIGHT didn’t give her rivals a chance at Caulfield last start. She should get the perfect run behind the leaders. U S NAVY FLAG blundered the start in The Everest and didn’t handle the heavy track. His stablemate SPIRIT OF VALOUR ran the fastest last 600m and 200m of the meeting on Caulfield Guineas Day. HOUTZEN was flat in the Moir Stakes following a huge first-up effort. Others can also win.

ICONOCLASM (R3 No.3, $2.15)

Bounced back from a minor throat operation with a dominant win at Caulfield. Yet to win at The Valley but there were excuses for both runs.

WAGING WAR (R4 No.4, $2.80)

This is a big drop in grade from the Group 1 Toorak Handicap where he finished a credible sixth from back in the field. Ready for the 2040m

HEART CONQUERED (R1 No.2, $5.50)

Trapped wide last start and worth giving another chance.
