Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza, who was once called a 'weasel' by Conor McGregor is reportedly set to be laid off.
The sports and corporate executive is thought to be leaving his current role with Showtime Sports set to be shut down at the end of the year, after a 37-year run in the industry.
The 53-year-old said in statement: "The company’s decision is not a reflection of the work we have done in recent years, nor of our long and proud history… Unfortunately, in a rapidly evolving media marketplace, the company has had to make difficult choices allocating resources, resetting priorities and reshaping its content offering.

The verbal assault came after McGregor felt his microphone had been cut in order to benefit the stance of his rival in the build-up to the fight.
