The Rocket reached the final of this year&#8217;s edition with a 6-2 win over Iranian star Hossein Vafaei, but was forced to come to terms that he may not be competing on that stage for much longer.<\/p>\n<p>The Barbican took over hosting duties of the Triple Crown event in 2001 and has held the tournament ever since, barring a change in 2020 when the UK Championship was moved to Milton Keynes due to Covid-19 complications.<\/p>\n<p>But speaking to the BBC after the match, O&#8217;Sullivan claimed that there could be a change of location next year: \u201cI love the venue. I love the place, York. It helps when you\u2019re in a good city because you can go out and kill your time off, it\u2019s a great venue.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m not sure, I think it might be moving next year but it\u2019s a shame because it\u2019s a great venue for snooker, it\u2019s a good venue and everyone enjoys coming here.
