Ferrari have unveiled their new car for the Formula One season they hope can finally end their 11-year wait for a championship, having come close in recent seasons.
At the hands of Sebastian Vettel, the team have put up a credible title fight to Lewis Hamilton in the drivers’ championship in the last two years, while the team have also been the closest challengers to the Brits’ all conquering Mercedes outfit.
But the Maranello outfit will be desperate for a championship having not claimed a title since winning the constructors prize in 2008 and have unveiled a dramatic new look ahead of the season.
The car has been named as the SF90 in reference to the 90th anniversary of the team’s existence under founder Enzo Ferrari, with the launch being promoted under the social media hashtag #EssereFerrari – meaning being Ferrari.
