England vs Australia live Ashes scorecard from final day of fourth Test

England must deliver a batting masterclass to stand any chance of winning the Ashes this summer.

After avoiding the follow-on on day four, England had Australia on 186/6 before the tourists declared and set their sights on bowling their opponents out.

It left England needing 383 to win the fourth Test and keep their hopes of winning back the urn alive.

But Pat Cummins struck a double blow late on at Old Trafford, taking the wickets of Rory Burns and Joe Root, to leave England on 18/2.

They must now bat out the final day of the fifth Test and attempt to claim a draw, with defeat meaning the Ashes are heading back to Australia.
